As the Black River nears Lake Superior it creates a number of waterfalls, some of which can be accessed by foot from Black River Harbor Road/CR513, designated the Black River Scenic Byway. There are also walking trails throughout the 28 acres eventually bringing you to the banks of the scenic Black River, where we have a picnic area and tree swings.

Take a stroll through our beautifully landscaped yard. There is also a wood-fired sauna on the premises ($50) and a hot tub (complementary). We have three beautifully decorated themed bedrooms all with private bathrooms two with fireplaces and whirlpool tubs. It has been meticulously maintained since then and we take great care of this hidden beauty. Our home was built in 1997 of white pine logs. Bessemer is still in the Central Time Zone and most importantly for winter sports in the lake effect/snow belt and near the Ottawa National Forest. We are situated along the banks of the Black River in Bessemer, the Western Upper Peninsula of Michigan ("da UP eh"?), a stones-throw away from the Lake Superior attractions and the small towns of Ironwood, Bessemer, and Wakefield. Welcome to Black River Crossing Bed and Breakfast!!
