the only difference is cleaning my bedding more than I probably would. Tiredness is part of a daily routine for me. Meaning that more often than not I experience aches and pains like that aftermath of a seizure just because I am older. I find today at 50 I nearly never even realize I have had an episode. Great for those who have means to completely control them but some of us never will. I am not pleasantville material.but I live with my conditions. I understand I am not typical.never shall I be a cookie cutter of my brother. If it bothers you that much do what you can to feel control over it but do not become a walking disorder. Some treat this as a pariah issue.as if anyone is perfect NOT. It is something you learn to live with some less than others.

I have a lack of tact due to autism and I have been assumed a mood disorder/personality disorder. I have a number of other issues which have overlapping symptoms and this could confuse clinicians into thinking things.Example I have hemi-plegic migraines.these have been assumed TIA's. I have been mis-diagnosed more times than not by people assuming they know what they can't know. Not even it was 100%.I sometimes think that medicine is a gamble. I tried about 25 scripts and only one worked reasonably well but because it has so many other nasty side effects I opted not to deal with it. So the idea that they will take over your life so you are a walking lightening rod is not something I can agree with. I am nearly 50 had grand mal idiopathic epilepsy that only happens in REM sleep and I have never had a wake state seizure. My family has a long history of strokes but the doctors said this wasnt a stroke.ĭoes anyone know if this sounds like a type of epilepsy? If anyone could give me ANY info that would be great. My MRI and CT scans came back totally clear and the neurologist said that it must have been a random seizure (ie he could see no reason for it except possibly exhaustion). I woke up to the ambulance guys, then within 5 minutes I realised where I was and was starting to be able to speak again and by the time i was in the emergency room, within maybe 20 mins, I was fully functional again. Basically it wasnt jerky movements, but i just lost control of every body movement - i wet the bed, my face muscles had gone all droopy, I couldnt talk except to slur a little bit, and I couldnt sit up. Apparently i looked like i was being possessed (charming, i know!). I fell asleep around 1:00am and my boyfriend woke up to me at 2:00am having a seizure. I was on holiays, so was fairly tired after a flight from Australia to New York. I am new to this forum, and just stumbled across it while trying to search for an explanation of something that happened to me.
